Bishnu Lama, a longtime GLPIPL monitor and friend of the project, was directly affected by the earthquakes in Nepal. His family’s village, Majhuwa, was destroyed and many family members were injured.

Bishnu and his family have also worked closely with the University of Minnesota (who also sponsors the GLPIPL banding) as well. They have collaborated with professors and students on research as well as helped the UMN Nepal study abroad semester course.

Some alumni of the University of Minnesota who now work with Bishnu and an environmental organization, Project Conservation, in Nepal have established a fund to directly help the village of Majhuwa, Nepal.

Thank you in advance for your support.
